Māyā
अथ चतुर्विंशतितत्त्वोत्पत्तिप्रकारं वक्ष्यामः । ब्रह्माश्रया सत्त्वरजस्तमोगुणात्मिका माया अस्ति ।
atha caturviṃśatitattvotpattiprakāraṃ vakṣyāmaḥ | brahmāśrayā sattvarajastamoguṇātmikā māyā asti |
Now we shall tell the way the twenty-four principles come to be. Resting on Brahman is māyā, whose nature is the three strands: sattva, rajas, and tamas.
